Hi, Evan,
I agree with Sue. I think the notes would be helpful for someone looking up
the footnote. Your idea of having them on a separate line from the page number
sounds great!

Hi Evan,
I should think they would be helpful to whoever is going to use the
book. Otherwise, one would have to really hunt for the footnotes. It
seems to me it would go much faster to have those headers in the notes
section.

Hey Guys,
I’m scanning this book with 70 pages of endnotes in the back.
Now, having been volunteering here awhile, I know we’re supposed to
remove running headers. But in the Notes section, the headers are a
little different. They run like this:
Notes to pages 15-17
Notes to pages 18-20
and so on with the header on each new page giving the page numbers in
the book for the notes on that particular page.
So, do I keep these or remove them? If I keep them, I presume they
should go on a separate line from the page number? They’re on the same
line now, but I can easily fix that if people think I should keep the
headers in this section of the book. I’m actually not sure how many
people will be able to make use of them in the formats we use for
Bookshare, but I thought I’d ask here just in case people think I
should preserve them. On the other hand, those who can make use of
page navigation may find these helpful.
Thanks for your advice.
Evan
