I buy from half.com almost all of the time that I buy books online. Sometimes I
buy from amazon but I prefer to buy from half because I'm an affiliate so I get
a small commission from my purchases.
This last time I bought things though, I bought three from one seller
(because you get a good discount on shipping if you buy from the same seller)
and they only shipped one, but said they shipped all three. I had to wait three
weeks before I could claim the items not received (none showed up for weeks).
Then finally the one item that was shipped (the seller said he shipped all
three) arrived with a note that the other two were out of stock. Then the
seller said oops and refunded those two purchases, but I was kind of ticked.
This was a seller with over 10,000 feedbacks. Usually I try to stick to small
sellers because they seem to have a better handle on their inventory.
But other than this last time, I have had lots of good buys on half.com. I
always bought my textbooks on half.
