HI Julie:

If there are books that you feel need to be rescanned feel free to post them on Jake's rescan list. Eventually someone will tackle them.
Take care.

Hi, Cindy. Kurzweil's ranked spelling only catches things that a spell
checker would catch, so if it is a real word, it won't pick it up. Take
care.

I'm curious--does the Kurzweil ranked spelling catch scannos that are real words, like die for the, the number one for capital I, or do you still have to read the book to catch things like that?

I've thought for a long time that it might be useful
to include the
numbers in the quality ratings, i.e., make it like
the numbers we see when
we approve a book.
For example, "Excellent, 99.98%". There is a big
variation, even in
excellent quality, and it would give the reader an
even better idea of
what to expect.
Just a thought, for that far-off day when Bookshare
improves its website.
