You cannot write with the Stream. All I do is listen for verbal hiccups anduse the notes feature to note the page and significant words before the item. I make a note and when
I have enough that I can't stand it, I go, sit down in front of the computer and look for what the notes I've made suggest. Keep in mind that I don't do this until I've made my usual checks used rank spelling and done any other spellchecking I intend doing. It is absolutely the last step, done when I can expect to Mostly listen to the book. Hope this helps. Bear in mind that it's only what I do. Many other people have done this much longer and done many more books than I have.----- Original Message ----- From: "Julia Kulak" <julia.kulak@xxxxxxxxxxxx>

But that may be a result of how I read which is to use K1000's mp3 creation facility and listen with my K1000 voice. Also, I don't use bookmarks for noting problems. I make a note with a significant word before the error, something closest to a not likely to be repeated often word. Good luck.----- Original Message ----- From: "Mary Anne Lynskey" <yeksnyl1953am@xxxxxxxxxxx>To: <bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, August 10, 2008 10:33 AM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Proof reading with Victor StreamI just started proof reading with the V Stream and am very excited about how much more convenient it will make proof reading and validating. I've a few comments/questions and would appreciate comments. I've noticed that while reading, a times the word I is read as the number 1. When I go back and spell through it, it shows as the letter I. So it apparently is correct, but changes when read in a sentence. Has anyone else noticed this peculiarity? My next observation is really a question. When you put a book mark to note an error, is there a way to find the book marks when you load the book back onto computer? I couldn't find mine and then when I put the book back on the stream again, the book marks were gone, much to my chagrin. Any suggestions on how to handle book marks would be appreciated. Thanks.
