[bksvol-discuss] Problem with book

Hi all,
In the book I downloaded to proof, apostrophes are shown as symbolwings and
some numbers, 6 digits. If I delete the symbol and type an apostrophe, the
symbol appears again. I am using MSWord 2002 and have never run into this
before. How do I get rid of it?
