I like abe.com. I have found at least one book there which did not appear anywhere on Amazon. The pages are less bulky and padded with fluff than Amazon's as well.

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Powel's: An Alternative to Amazon?

Between my student days and my involvement with Bookshare, and that's a
mighty long time, I never thought of being a book buyer. What are some of
folks favorite on-line sources?

There was, for example, a site called Powel's books, <powels.com> I think,
that used to advertise on Writer's almanac.  The site looked interesting;
so any other favorites worth noting?

Just thought I'd ask after reading the discussion of Caitlin R. Kiernan etc.
