Hi All,
I didn't get in on the last incident like this--by choice. But I have to tell you that when we get on these judgmental kicks, I wonder why I ever got into volunteering. I'm not doing it because I don't have a life (and most of us aren't), or because I have so much time to fill (most of us don't). I volunteer because I love the opportunity to give back for all the things people have done for me, and I get to do it in a way that matters to me, too--putting books into the hands of blind people. I know blind people aren't the only target audience of Bookshare, and I respect that--but they're mine.
Anyway, I just wanted everybody who participates in these judgmental discussions to know that, whether the rest of us comment or not, we do have feelings about what is said, and they're not good feelings! And this is not the appropriate place to write such things. If you have a problem with someone personally, write them off-list, and try being nice! I don't want any more of our longer-time, hardworking volunteers pushed out of their work by this kind of thing. Everybody just stop being so intense!

Oh, I don't think anyone meant to castigate you at all! Please just do what you can and don't worry about it! We value and appreciate the work that you 
do and would hate to lose you and your help.

I do hope you feel better and that things settle down and become more
peaceful for you very soon.

I'm sorry you're feeling so awful.  Don't give any more worry to
volunteering. Please, just do what you can when you can, and enjoy yourself 
and know that your work is definitely appreciated and would be missed.

OK Guys, I have just gone through a really difficult time trying to transfer 
medical records to Florida after moving last August, trying to get a new
house into shape, problems in a marriage, possible recurrence of cancer,
want any more? I said I was sorry, very sorry to my submitter.  I am going
to "jiffy" because Tracy says I can, though I hate it. I do not leave books just around and not look at them. A bit angered since I apologized. Maybe 
I should have not volunteered this year or maybe I need to quit BKS
altogether. I can find books to read another way. Perhaps I will stop. I 
sure cannot afford the 50 dollars for a sub.  I take care of 2 of us on
disability. OK, now that I have ranted on and am almost in tears, I am off 
to take a shower.  I need groceries, which will take me away from Poseidon
again for a while.  Not understanding how I feel right now, but again I am
sorry.
