Debee, have you considered writing to Bookshare to ask them about your tif
files? Carrie might decide to just have one of her staff in Collection
Development OCR them with their FineReader 9 program. I'm not speaking for
her or anything. I just think it won't hurt to ask her. You can write to
volunteer@xxxxxxxxxxxxx to ask about it. The worst she can say is no, right?

Don't scan "For Hearing People Only". There are three editions of that book,
and I have tiff files for the last two. The first edition which is out of
print is supposedly the best one.
I actually have about 12GB of tiff files I was planning on giving to
bookshare, only with all the changes recently I wasn't sure if they even
wanted my images. So I decided I better get on this list so I'd be up on
what was going on.
