I couldn't agree with you more and it was a lot more of your time wasted than
mine. It seems to me that Bookshare has to have a system whereby a book is
stopped at the submission point if someone else has already checked the scanit
link on the wish list. When it happened to me back before there was a scanit
link, I, like you, told Bookshare that if it happened again I would no longer
be scanning because I had alerted Marissa and the volunteer e-mail list and
didn't know what else I could have done. For those of us who put a lot of work
into these books it simply isn'tfair.

I checked the scan it link, looked on all lists and posted on this list. I
checked to see if it was in the collection but didn't see it.
This is not the first time I scanned a book that was already scanned and in
the system somewhere. Checking the "Scan it" link is a waste of time. Until
Bookshare comes up with a better system I will no longer waste my time scanning
books from the wish list.
On the volunteer page you should be able to enter a book title and find out
if the book is in the collection, on the download page, waiting for admin.
