I lived in Menlo Park for a short time, which is the next town over from
Palo Alto. It is a nice town. The public transportation is quite good. The
Stanford shopping center, as well as the Town and Country shopping center,
are amazing.

Carrie and the bookshare creew can tell you more about Palo Alto. I've never been there, but I think it's not too far from San Francisco, and I'm pretty sure Stanford is there, which means it should have a lot of interesting things to do, concerts, plays--and a nice library and, from the shopping Carrie does, good used-book stores. smile Marissa commuted from somewhere, but I think she drove--but there probably is good public transportation.

andHey Dena and Cindy,
Thanks for reminding me of that position, I will be applying there, and anywhere else, smile, that I can apply to, and will see who bites, smile, and if I can live in the areas that are hiring.
Even if it is in the south or southwest, smile, as a lot of the jobs are.
I do not like humidity and extremely hot weather and neither does my dog. But we can adapt right, with a place that actually has air conditioning as a necessity and not a "luxury" smile.
I have friends near Paulo Alto, but would of course love any comments on the area, I am still applying and who knows.
Maybe you all will convert me to be a California girl, would make being near GDB a lot easier in case I need anything, and it is a nice area, accessible if I am not mistaken by Cal Train and the like.
But we shall send them everywhere.
