We have been told over and over again that at least some page numbers are
needed for the Daisy tags.

there are no page numbers because Linda strips out the headers carefully
with k1000.

I have read through the new mannual and it doesn't give any instruction on
page numbers so when it strips them out I delete the few that are left.
I leave them if its a non fiction book.

I know I don't like hearing double page numbers when reading on the victor.
and that is how it reads if page numbers are left in.

But I am not sure if the daisy format needs the page numbers.

I read the mannual and it doesn't address this or other more specific things
that are ideal for scanning or proofing a book.

I put a blank line at the top of every page in case the book share tool
strips out text.
We aren't sure so its good to leave a blank line at the top of the page like
your doing.

I had a book that the rtf I submitted was ok but when it was in the
collection and downloaded some words were missing.
My original file had the words there.

The book was replaced and I spent all that time working on it.

So I am not sure what causes the book share tool to strip out things and how
it works....

I now make sure a blank line is at the top of all pages and hope that
doesn't happen again.

Its discouraging to put so much into a book and the proofer does as well
then its just replaced.

Hope this helps somewhat....sorry I don't know more...

  Hey everyone!
Hopefully everyone is having a spectacular evening and I just had a quick
page numbering question. I'm currently proofing Code of Honor and there
seems to be no page numbers. I totally understand they aren't important for
proofing but can be helpful too. However, if I see any numbers then I will
insert them however here is the current format I'm using without the actual
page numbers and I wanted to verify this was right. Okay text, two blank
lines, page break, one blank line, and text. Here's an example of what I'm
referring too here. "

  "Do you care?" Selena's gray-haired dad asked. <?xml:namespace prefix = o
ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Then he lifted a wrinkled hand." Again I understand page numbers aren't
crucial but can be helpful for other reading tools. If I need to change the
format here then please just let me know and I'll gladly change it. Any
suggestions would be very much appreciated too. Thanks for all of your help
and I look forward to getting this novel into the collection soon.
  Thanks
  Kristin
