I think bookshare needs to work out some legal conditions to the publishers contracts as well as the newly signed blanks in order to do that. Last I knew, they were talking to the already signed ones to see if they would be interested in us doing that. I remember something like this being talked about on a thread about putting in image descriptions and "why sign publishers if their books are worse than volunteer scanned ones?". -----Original Message----- From: bksvol-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bksvol-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Jamie Prater Sent: Saturday, August 14, 2010 10:05 PM To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: PDF Files Hi, you're not causing any trouble in my opinion. I read the same article and it did say something about volunteers being needed to proof pdf files. I'm wondering why the contradicting statements and exactly what gives. Surely Jim Fruchterman didn't lie in that article, so who's telling the truth and how will we be a part? Have a blessed day. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Cindy Ray" <cindyray@xxxxxxxxx> To: <bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, August 14, 2010 8:22 PM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: PDF Files > Oh, Arghhhh!
