Hi, Chela, have you thought of taking up the guitar? It won't be hard on
your mouth, but admittedly, you'll get a nice set of calluses on your left
hand from holding down the frets, and you'll have to learn how to take off
strings should one break and replace them. It depends on whether you like
nylon or steel strings. If you prefer the latter, you should buy the light
gauge strings as they make reading Braille easier than if you buy the
heavier gauge variety. Happy scanning, proofing, and playing. Kim.

Schools, is it in process?

Rik, just go to bookshare's site, after log in, go to volunteer home, then
go to the link that says books awaiting approval if it has not been in the
approval cue yet, it may still be on the list of books being on step one,
I'm probably not making any sense because I haven't eaten any dinner yet,
plus my chops are pretty much fried from playing to my heart's content on
the trumpet, "Billie's Bounce" by Charlie Byrd Parker has really got me to
the point I'm struggling with one bar, sad but true. When will I be able to
master it fully, who knows accurately, shucks, that's just
girrrrrhrrhrhrhrhrhrrrhrrrhrrhrrrrate! Hope someone who has no problem of
sounding rather complicated can help you out buddy.
----------------
"If you go without playing the trumpet for one day, no one knows, two days,
only you know, and more than three days without practicing, girl you better
look out, because everyone will know!"
Today, I find myself constantly saying those words, just to get myself
going, to not give up, and it works. Since I learned to play the trumpet at
the tender age of 10, I have spent so much passion and much diligence with
that instrument that I will not give up on it. Sometimes my instrument puts
me into awkward situations where I feel like they won't ever end, but the
trumpet gives me a lot of hope with the majestic, crystal-clear sound it
brings to my ears.
