Monica, I'm very pleased for you! I live in a fairly rural area also but have really enjoyed being able to use my local library for the first time in my life. I haven't yet figured out how to request on-line but I do choose my books that way and then call in the request or make it when I go into the library. They call me immediately when the book comes in. Hi, everybody. I'm feeling so excited and independent today. I've just finished making arrangements to start getting library books to scan that will be delivered to my local branch where my dad and I can pick them up every two weeks. They've got so many books I've wanted to scan and read for ages, and now I can get to them! I know it's a little thing. It seems like a big one to me anyhow. (smile) I live in an area where there is no public transportation, and our library system used to charge a fee if you wanted a book from another branch. Now it's free and can be done online. They've even built a site that's completely accessible now with text labels on the buttons and alt tags on their images. I'm having a very good day!
