I'd bet Text Edit might open a .brf file.  It's an ASCII text file.  Just looks 
funky because of what the ASCII characters mean in Braille!

I will have to see what my download the options are, but I don't have notepad 
or WordPad on a Mac, only TextEdit. I have to see if it can open up other file 
extensions.
