I was reading while proofing GuideLines and Games for Efficient Braille
Reading, and in this book, they site, several reasons why picture
descriptions can be very valuable for blind students. They recommend taping
descriptions of pictures for students, if they are important for the story.

So, if we can picture descriptions are a great thing.

Just wanted to share. And are used in the teaching of Braille and literacy.

The vision must be followed by the venture. It is not enough to
stare up the steps - we must step up the stairs.
