Nancy,  As I mentioned, I got mine for $99.00 because I got it as a special.
It is typically expensive.

Pratik et al,

David had some errands to run today, and while he was at BJ's which is along

the lines of Sam's or Costco, he called me from the electronics area and 
said that they had an hp 1018 that he could get for $99.99.  I told him to 
go ahead and bring it home .  From what I can tell, it is much like the 
1022, but not quite as brawny.

David just called me from Costco and they have the HP 1022 for $239...and 
that includes a rebate.  It sounds like a nice machine, but for my purpose I

don't think it would be worth over twice as much.

I think the HP site had a blurb that the 1018 was Computer Shopper's pick 
for b/w laser printer for 2006.  I'm still looking around just to see if I 
can find a machine that would suit me better.

I am also excited because he picked me up a copy of Spy Sweeper for under 
$15...it will be interesting to see what he comes home with for himself.
