Hi Dan, George, and all, I also use Text Aloud and convert my books with speech added. Then I can put them on my MP3 player. In my humble opinion, Text Aloud is the greatest program. I use it every day. Hi George, I currently have TextAloudMP3 and I do a similar thing. I convert the books to MP3 files and load them onto an mp3 player. I was just hoping to avoid that step by using a device that would speak the text without the mp3 step. Thanks for your reply. ----- Original Message ----- From: "George Marshall" <marshall.geoma4@xxxxxxxxx> To: <bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, November 13, 2008 10:16 AM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: OT - voices on Victor Streams? > Hi Dan: > As for the voices on Victor Stream: It is a very low quality speach > synthesizer, Victor says Eloquence requires more memory than they have > available in the stream and could not be done without a complete new unit. > Now I don't know if you have OpenBook8 or Kurzweil 11, but if so here is a > nice work around for Bookshare books: I download the book bring it up in > Kurzweil and convert it to MP3, using Kurzweils eloquence voice, then play > it in other books.
