You could start with the Sacramento Society for the Blind; they should at least 
be able to give you advice on where you might apply. If you can think of good 
reasons how this equipment could really help you in your day to day living, you 
could try your local Lions Club or even the Bureau of Vocational 
Rehabilitation. Your age can also make a difference and sometimes the older you 
are the better. Your reasons need to be based on how this equipment would add 
to your independence, not just your desire to have it. I hope this helps and
