The OBC in question is 1776 and the reason for the difference is that the
movie as released originally was edited by the producers as they were afraid
that least one song and some short scenes would be viewed as insulting or
critical of them. The restored directors cut is now available so you can
see the difference. The song that was in the OBC album but not the movie
was "Cool Considerate Men" who were more concerned about their money and
estates than liberty or independence. For Netflix members the director's cut
is not yet available but should be soon. I don't know about other rental
outlets but it is available from catalogues and I assume in other video
outlets.

I'm a bit backed up in my e-mails and missed the premise of this one. Could
you tell me what sound track you are referring to. The words Original
Broadway Cast intrigued me since I love musicals and boradway. When I was
younger I dreamed of singing on a famous stage since I do love singing solos
at church.
