For one ting, I don't like to spend the money, although I realize, thanks to a favor Lissi did for me, that out-of-print books in excellent shape--new--can be obtained inexpensively from third-party buyers at amazon. For another, I don't usually like to reread books, and if I do want to, after a few years, I can get them from the librariy. I don't have a lot of space. However, thanks to bookshare, I've bought more new books as gifts for family and friends than probably ever before in my life.
