HI Sue and all, Still applying the patch from Microsoft is the best work around. I haven't tested it but if your computer for daylight saving it may change itself back. I know most companies over the last month have worked hard to patch all computers and servers. Katie Hill You can learn a lot if you are humble enough to listen. Time and date Hi Dave, Voila! Got it done with your instructions!!!! Thanks much! I didn't want everyone to think I am disoriented as to date. <lol> Thanks for your help, Sue S. ----- Original Message ----- From: <talmage@xxxxxxxxxx> To: <bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, March 11, 2007 8:12 PM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: O.T. Time and date Hi Sue, I'll bet it doesn't say 3-11-2006. Now that I got the kidding out of my system, one of the easiest ways would be to drop to a command prompt. If you want to get there click Start, Programs, Accessories, and finally Command Prompt. Then type "date" followed by enter. Don't enter the quote marks. You will get something like: The current date is: Sun 03/11/2007 Enter new date (mm-dd-yy) after you enter the new date in the format specified and whack enter, type "exit" followed by an Enter and the command prompt will close. Once again don't type the quotes. You can do the same thing to change the time if you wish, of course with the "time" command. I don't know what screen reader you're using, or how it is setup, but I'm using JFW and it talks fine. Worst case, you'll have to review the screen to see what's there if your DOS box doesn't speak automatically. By the way, if you decide you don't want to change what is already there, just whack enter without typing in any values and it will retain the old date or time. These are changing the system date and time, so we'll have to see what Outlook makes of the change.
