Yes Cindy and if you were a lousy typist such as I was, it was even worse.

Oh, yes. George and I remember those days, I'm sure.
My husband hired a typist to type his
dissertation--before we met--but I had to type my term
papers, and you probably did, too, didn't you, George?
And there was no such thing as erasotape or liquid
paper. If you made even one mistake you had to type
the whole page over. And at th is point in my school
careeer, there weren't even electric typewriters. And
if you wanted or had to make copies, you had to use
carbon paper, which went between two cheets of tyhping
paper. If you weren't careful about how you put it in,
the copy came out in mirror writing on the wrong side
of the original page so you had to type that over.

At least we didn't have to worry about losing the
whole paper when almost done because we forgot to
Save, as my daughter did in high school a few times.
You'd think she'd have learned after the first
diaster, but no.

Cindy

And And if we wanted to make copies we had to use
carbon paper
