I usually don't like to respond to OT messages. But, since the conversation did include me in a non-OT thread, I thought I might as well take this opportunity to respond. I, of course, am a self-proclaimed, unabashed genius! I seem not to require too much sleep. I do have light perception in one eye but many blind people do seem to have insomnia. I tend to get about two to three hours of sleep and find myself productive almost any time of the day. -----Original Message----- From: bksvol-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bksvol-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Grandma Cindy Sent: Thursday, January 17, 2008 12:21 AM To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [bksvol-discuss] OT: Sleep disorders I've wondered if blindness affects sleep. Certainly it seems that age, does. I have no trouble, fortunately; if I wake up, which I do several times a nigt, I can roll over and go back to sleep easily, but my husband and quite a few elderly people I've known in the past, as well as friends of mine, have insomnia; they either read or watch t.v. until they get sleepy again. That's another nice thing about being retired--one can sleep when one wants. Geek or Genius? Or are they the same? We just watched part 2 of the Search for Cold on our PBS station--quantum physcists--both. grin G.Cindy --- Ann Parsons <akp@xxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > Hi all, > > G.
