I also use it to keep score with games, keep track of bus stops or subway
stops and use it to count rows and repeats in a pattern, smile.

It is a mathematics tool, yes. It also works very well for taking down phone
numbers or any other numerical data a person needs to reference. It works
well for that kind of thing. I've even used it to make note of an ISBN
number.
