I can't speak for Omni page, but Fine Reader 8.0 never ceases to amaze me with its accuracy. I use it at work where I convert scanned material for students into their prefered file format. That is one of the nice things about fine reader because there are several different file types to choose from when saving your work. Additionally, It works extremely well with my screen reader, window-eyes. I never had to make any screen reader adjustments for it to work as well as it does. _____ From: bksvol-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bksvol-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Nancy Hill Sent: Thursday, September 07, 2006 6:36 PM To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [bksvol-discuss] OT: O C R software opinions needed Hi All, I would appreciate some feedback about different O C R software products. I am interested if anyone uses either the Fine Reader or OmniPage, or any of the other O C R software that is available. I would like to hear your opinions on what you have used and the good points and bad you have encountered using them I am already leaning toward a scanner, but am waiting to make my purchase until I have gathered a bit more info about it. Thanks for your help. Nancy Hill
