Hi Mayrie,

But will I still have all of those great features like rank spelling? If
Jaws is gonna read Kurzweil? (smile)

I did find where active speech is enabled.

Thanks,
Sue S.

Hi Sue,

Your braille display isn't run by Kurzweil, but by your screen
reader. So yes, you'll still be able to use your braille display once you
disable active speech in Kurzweil.

Hi Evan and Mayrie,

So far I haven't found active speech. If I disable it, will I still be able

to read it with my Braille display, or will that make it stop reading
altogether?

Thanks,
Sue S.

Hi Sue,

Mayrie is correct. Once you choose Disable in the Active Speech section of
the Configuration settings, it will ask you if you are sure, because you
will need a screen reader to use K1000 if you disable it. Just hit Yes, and
K1000 will no longer speak.

Evan
