I use my MP3 player, and my Book Courier to read books while I am doing other things like knitting, cleaning the house, or taking a bubble bath. And the Braillenote is used for work. And usually by the time I get home, and edit the books I need to edit, well.... Besides the speaker on the BN is not spectacular where I can purchase an external speaker for the Zen Stone, and for the Book courier. Also the Braillenote is not recognized as an appropriate agent for Overdrive, and I like listening to audio books on Unabridged. That is why I don't use the MP3 feature on the Braillenote. I have howeverused it before for teaching my students listening skills. Shelley L. Rhodes M.A., VRT, CTVI and Guinevere, Golden lady Guide juddysbuddy@xxxxxxxxxxxx Guide Dogs For the Blind Inc. I have never used that function on mine but I'm not particularly interestedin the whole music downloading thing. Just curious.----- Original Message ----- From: "Shelley L. Mine is blue, which is my favorite color. it is completely tactile and you can easy navigate between folders and files with it. On the front of the unit is a wheel of buttons with one button in the center. That center button is play, power, and stop. Above that play button is one with a dot on it, this is volume Up and navigate Up, oppositethat is volume down, and to the left and right of the play button are fastforward and rewind. on the top of the unit is a head phone jack and a folder selector switch. I don't use folders so mine is in the right position. On the bottom of the unit is a Micro USB plug. And that is basically the unit. it is a synch to use and cheap as far as MP3 players go. Before I put one on my list, though, does anyone use an IPOD with Rockbox? I'm just curious what typeof IPOD I should buy, if any? Will my choice affect how Rockbox works with it? Thanks in advance.
