Thanks for the tip Lora. I have never been in a hotel that has the outlets on the lamp...strange. *L* I will remember this one just in case. *L*

Thanks, Lora. I would nevere think of looking there. We don't travel much, but if we're ever in such a situation thanks to you I'll know were to look. I had a Pacmate and a cell phone to charge, and a cassette player that I wanted to plug in. Try as I might, I couldn't find electrical outlets in the usual places, such as along the wall just above the floor. I did find one in the bathroom, where the hair dryer and razor were plugged in, but I knew there had to be more somewhere. After all, this room had advertised itself as network capable, so there must be a place to plug in your laptops, right? Well, try as I might, I couldn't find one. Even the lamps seemed hard-wired into something, with their cords disappearing beneath the carpet and their "plugs" wired directly into a connector. So where were my electrical outlets? I didn't want to ask anyone from the group I was in, because I was trying to appear at least a little independent, but while I was talking to a friend from home, he told me that the outlets were often on the tables. I didn't quite believe him, but as it turned out, the outlets I found were in the base of the lamp that was sitting on one of my tables. What a bizarre place for electrical outlets? I only tell this tale because I figure there may be others out there who didn't realize that the electrical outlets might be in the lamps. Hope this helps someone someday.
