I use Outlook Express and can do all that you want it to do.

With the way outlook has been behaving this week--ever since my computer
finally decided to cooperate with the Xp service pack 2 update
process--I'm about ready to try pine again. LOL

I wonder if anyone else finds reading list mail a little annoying now.
I have to read the message by tabbing in to it if I want to hit delete
and go on to the next message, but if I find that I want to keep the
message I am reading I must hit enter on it and then go on to the next
with Control-GraterThan.
So extremely weird and stupid! I used to be able to hit enter on the
first message I wanted to read and could read them all either deleting
or keeping without ever having the process interrupted.

I suspect Kurzweil is losing speech and freezing up a lot less often
though, because it hasn't done it yet this week, and at times it was
doing it on an average of every half hour. :-)

I would hope pine has gotten a few improvements since the version I used
with a shell. I suppose anyone who uses a shell now has there own,
because I sure can't find many ISP's that offer it. Right now I
wouldn't trust my in house Linux user to keep everything running
smoothly. He can't even get his computer to let me change things in the
backup folder he made for me. which sort of defeates the purpose. LOL
I also don't want to have to turn on another computer to read my mail.
I want my E-mail program to read entire messages without me having to
hit a key. I want selection, copy, and paste capability. I hated
getting a link sent to me in an E-mail when I used pine. You can't
easily select it and use it, and it sure couldn't make a link in to a
link you could press enter on and go to.

On the other hand I loved it's bounce feature. <g> I suppose that isn't
really approved of, but it sure was useful in sending yourself the real
looking original of a message when you wanted it from another account.
Forwarding really ruins it.
