I, too, have a guide dog and am working my third. The first worked for five years before he started having some health problems and had to be retired. The second I had for four months but things didn't work out. Now, I have Mercy, a female yellow lab, and I've had her for almost two years. I wouldn't have it any other way. I love working a dog and don't know what I did before I got one, even though I was 19 when I got my first dog, so it's not like I waited until later on to get my first, but still, having one definitely changed my life. All three of my dogs have come from Pilot. Take care. -- Julie Morales Email & Windows/MSN Messenger: mercy421@xxxxxxxxxxx Skype: mercy0421 Please contact me if I may not recognize your contact info before adding me or I may not add you! A good school is vital. I've had wonderful dogs from Seeing Eye. I had polio in my right leg and so they have to pick out a really super dog that will be careful of sidewalk bumps and edges. I'm on dog 4 now, and they have picked out wonderful matches for me. Izzy is a black labradore female and will be 7 years old in September. I live alone so I can't imagine being here without her. She's not only a great guide, but a wonderful companion and my best friend. It's nice to hear about others on the list. It makes people more real. I'll do an email about me soon.
