No, I was not aware of those items of interest concerning auto didacticism.
Personally, I may be something of an autodidact, but I think I am far from
famous. Now, it was interesting that I sent you to the dictionary. The word
that
I use that most frequently sends people running to the dictionary is
recondite and after they learn the word they often accuse me of having
recondite
interests. In a message dated 8/9/2008 6:36:27 P.M. Pacific Daylight Time,

Very interesting. I love all the different kinds of people who are bookshare
volunteers. And you just taught me a new word--rather, you caused me to look
it up online and learn it. Do you know that there is an Autodidactic Press
and also a list online of famous autodidactic people, though the list doesn't
say what their particular areas of interest were/are. One of them is Ezra
Cornell, which is interesting since he founded a university.
