Dear Cindy,

You thaw it so it mixes in well, then it refreezes along with the whole pie. This pie proves that sometimes we can get lucky and easy can be delicious. Hope it works out for you and your daughter.

Always with love,

Lissi

That sounds delicious, Lissi. Do you mix the lemonade
frozen or thaw it? I shall send it to my daughters
when I get your answer. It almost tempts me to make
it.

I validated the A to Z bar cookie book and that almost
tempts me to bake, too. I wanted to get copies for my
daughters for Christmas it's out of print. I know it's
avalable on Amazon, but from individual stores, and I
don't like sending my credit card number, and I can't
be sure of the condition, even when they say it's new,
or like new. I guess I;ll look in used-book stores
around here or hope a copy comes into the bookstore at
the library.

Dear Shelley,

Great cookbook recs, Shelley. I'm so overwhelmed
with books I want to read I
haven't even browsed Bookshare's cookbooks. The bar
cookie book sounds
especially good and practical.

One of my favorite, very refreshing pie recipes is
one of the simplest. Get
a graham cracker pie crust, or any kind of crumb
crust. In a large bowl, mix
a tub of cool whip, a can of Eagle Brand condensed
milk, and a can of frozen
lemonaide concentrate.. Pour the mixture in the pie
crust and freeze until
firm. It's an easy, reliable, classic. Well, maybe
you'll want to save it
until the weather warms up a little.

Instead of the standard book and bon bons, it's
validating and bar cookies,
then salad and exercise, I guess.

Always with love,

Lissi
