I thought that it was good for 5 years also, but I decided to reregister
today, just on the off chance that my name was going to be released to
telemarketers as Lissi's message seemed to indicate. I registered my phone
number and was not told that it was already registered, so I don't know.

Still, as someone else said, it does work, although nonprofits and political
campaigns are exempt.

I think the Do Not Call registry is good for longer than a year. I think
it is 5 years.

I got an email earlier this year that I needed to update mine if I wanted
to stay on the list and we've been here at this address for about 5 years.
