Hello Curtis, I haven't yet read anything that says duplication of books on Bookshare that are also on NLS is a violation of any policy. This wouldn't make any sense, since the books are in different formats: mostly audio with some in WebBraille for NLS versus all Braille and DAISY text only on Bookshare. ----- Original Message ----- From: Curtis Delzer To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, March 07, 2008 3:50 PM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: No advance reading copies allowed Hey, that reminds me, aren't there many books on bookshare which are also a part of the NLS collection? Isn't that against policy? Advance reading copies of books are distributed to various people before publication, with the proviso that the copies not be given to anyone else. If someone mails or submits an advance reading copy to Bookshare, someone somewhere has broken an agreement and we cannot be party to that. So please do not mail us advance reading copies of books or submit them to the download list. They won't be put into the collection.
