Kim, one thing to consider doing, is to save a new copy each day. This way,
if you mess something up, you have a copy to go back to, and you only have
to go back over what you did that day. What I do is the following.

1. Open the file I downloaded from bookshare.
2. Go to the file menu.
3. Arrow down to save as, and press enter.
4. Name the file something like the book title proofing copy
(TheSilverSaddleProofingCopy.rtf), and make sure it is saved in the same
folder the original copy is in.
5. Each day, I'll open the previous days file, and do the same procedure as
above, just including the current day's date as part of the filename.
Doing this allows you to one keep a copy of the original file, just in case,
and also have a copy that you can go back to with most of your changes in
place. I actually have a folder called proofing, where I keep all the books
I'm proofing for bookshare.
