I followed up with our engineering team about the quality check function in
Bookshare. The quality report numbers from the quality check did not have very
much meaning, so a decision was made to disable it. Unfortunately, spell check
has also been disabled because it was part of the quality check function. We
are asking volunteers to run spell check within the editor that they are using
to proof the RTF prior to submitting books to Bookshare.
We apologize for not notifying you about this change earlier and for any
concern and frustration it caused. Please let me know if you have any
additional questions.

Hi Evan,
I uploaded three books on Thursday or Friday and got the very same thing.
Frankly, I didn’t know if they would go through, but they did. It’s
disconcerting, for sure!

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] No Quality Report
Hey Guys,
I submitted a book just now, but for what I think is the first time ever, I
didn’t get a quality report when I uploaded it, just the generic text about
what makes a book get an Excellent rating and so on; but nothing about how many
misspellings it found, nor how many page breaks. Anyone else seen that?
Evan
