Thanks Liz, but this is the version I already have, or had, since I
uninstalled it, version 14.14.
However, just to be sure, I guess I'll try reinstalling the version I got on
December 8, then run this patch, and then see if I can open rtf files from
Word or my Pac Mate before I write to them.
Naturally, I'll post results here.

Kurzweil 1000 v14 does support and open RTF files. You can open from RTF

I just got an email from Kurzweil tech support. I had phoned them and
asked about the inability to read rtf files in the latest version.
They say the latest version does indeed read rtf files as long as you
install the latest patch.
