As annoying and unsettling as it may be, we have to leave it as it is in print. Sorry! I’m proofing a book now where the author/publisher has thought it fun to use a mixed case font in the first line of each chapter. So, since I’m proofing in Times New Roman, the first line of each chapter will usually start sentences with a lower case letter, and sometimes subsequent letters will be capitalized. What do I do? Do I follow the book literally and keep them mixed, or do I “correct” them? An example: “a STRIPPeR? HeR? nOT a CHanCe In Hell.” Any help is appreciated! Thanks, Denise
