Hi everyone,
We have talked before about having a list
of mentors who are willing to help new volunteers with the
process. Alisa and I have come up with a list of questions to
be answered to create the profile. Our thought is that we
could post those profiles on the blog (or in the mean time I
would have them in a word doc until the blog is up and
running). A new volunteer could then read those profiles and
find someone who had similar interests and equipment. Since
people have brought up a privacy concern, we would NOT include
emails in those profiles, but rather, the new volunteer would
email me and I would facilitate the introduction between
mentor and mentee. On a similar note, instead of having full
names, perhaps we could choose nicknames or user names?
I know some of you have already emailed me
directly expressing interest, so forgive me if this is
redundant. I wanted to give everyone a chance to participate
now that we’ve thought through the idea a little bit more
thoroughly. Those who have already emailed me and answered
most of these questions can just answer the new ones and I can
fill in the other info for you.
If you’re interested, please answer the
questions below and email me directly.
