Dear Jamie,

Thank you for describing MEL which sounds like a wonderfully comprehensive library system. Another volunteer described another state system which allows patrons to borrow 150 books at a time and to keep them almost indefinitely with periodic renewals until they are requested. Since I still occasionally let my validations lapse, I'd better stay clear of borrowing library books en masse or I might have to mortgage my house to pay library fines.

Always with love,

Lissi

Dear Booksharians,

Jamie, What is MEL? You said it is a good catalog. What kinds of books does it list? What kind of source is it?

Always With Love,

Lissi

It is a great catalog Cindy. And any book which says
"available" is available to me! And more libraries
join the MEL system every day.

I couldn't find the Starbridge book in it either so
I'm glad it wasn't just me.

I did request that vegetarian cookbook that I think E
said she used to have. It's 799 pages long!
