Kathy Reichs writes a series of mysteries in which
the protagonist is a female forensic scientist. I
validated one and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's not
medical per se, since she gets the bones and that sets
her off to solve the murder. Ms. Reichs herself is
vice president of the American Academy of Forensic
Scientists and the producer of Fox's tv series Bones.
I watched one episode ans wasn't that impressed, but
it's been on for several years. As I said, i did enjoy
the book I valdiated.
