Hehehe, Jake, Maybe someone should publish a list of when the lists are published..:D Katie Hill Miracles happen not in opposition to Nature, but in opposition to what we know of Nature. -St. Augustine _____ From: bksvol-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bksvol-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Jake Brownell Sent: Friday, June 09, 2006 4:02 PM To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: Mariss'a List June 9, 2006 HaHa! Too many "lists" involved! *grin* Jake ----- Original Message ----- From: Gerald <mailto:GeraldHovas@xxxxxxxxxxx> Hovas To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, June 09, 2006 6:02 PM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: Mariss'a List June 9, 2006 Sue, There's a note on the Volunteer Home Page that tells where Marissa's List used to be on Rui's site. I mentioned to John Glass yesterday that the info on the Volunteer Home page hasn't been updated since January, and he said he'll pass that along to the appropriate person, which I believe is Gustavo, so there should be a note soon to direct volunteers to the new location of Marissa's List. As for passing along volunteering info to volunteers who only wish to subscribe to the genral discussion list, well those volunteers have the option of subscribing to this list if they are interested in getting the info. However, some volunteers only belong to the other list. How will they know about Marissa's list? And what about the volunteers who are not on either list? Is there a link on the bookshare.org volunteer page telling where the list can be found? One for volunteering topics and another for nonvolunteering topics. The other list is for general topics related to Bookshare. Marissa's list is volunteering related, so the appropriate list for Jake's message is this one: the Volunteering Discussion List. Messages related to volunteering should actually be restricted to this list. However, many volunteers seem to believe for some reason that the other list is for volunteers who don't want as many messages as are sent to the bksvol-discuss list.
