Actually, you cannot save a document in Pages in RTF at this time; I was very
upset since I bought my original iPad and Pages for that purpose after
extensive
discussions with tech support before buying. You can read RTF, but only save
in
DOC, PDF, or Pages formats on my last working, so I would then have to resave
on
my computer in RTF to submit.
Rumor has it there may be a Microsoft suite for iPad this summer and maybe it
will support RTF.

Hi folks,
It'd be interesting to find out whether proofreading on the iPhone would be
possible. Just, please, before you take on the task, be very clear what is
necessary to be retained in rtf files, all paragraphing, all page breaks,
the ability to assess and insert if necessary bold, italics, and font
sizing. There are other attributes to be preserved and removed but those are
the big things.
Just be sure that whatever software you are using to edit has the same
capabilities as Microsoft Word, or Kurzweil 1000. At this point, those two
packages are the most effective proofreading software.
Good luck giving the iPhone a try!

I'm really sorry to hear that, at least you're doing something you want to
do--not school work. :) Do you have Pages on your phone? If so, you could
definitely proof from there, I think.
Also, off topic, (if you want, you can write me offlist) is it easy for you
to use your iPhone with voiceover, it's kind of hard for me so I just wanted
to get a second oppinion on whether it's just me.
I'll try my hardest to see if I can get a scanner and since school is
winding down, I might try and locat e abook and try to do it but I'm not
sure, I'm pretty busy. Like I said, I'll try to get a scanner.
