Hi Allison!

I just took a look and I was honestly surprised. *L* This is my list of books on step 1:

Sorry I am getting back to you so late. It has been a very long day on my side. *L*

Okay, from what I have been able to gather, these are the books I have on step 1:

fiction
Edge of twilight
Thicker than water
Hunters: Heart and Soul
Twilight hunger
Feather on the wind

Non-fiction/textbooks
Bread and Spirit: Therapy with the new poor
Issues and Ethics in the helping professions
Models for arrangements: a state by state review of options
The expanded family life cycle
The mental health professionals' guide to managed care
Theory and practice of group counseling
Theory and practice of group psychotherapy
Career Counseling, a holistic approach
Constructive Therapies
contracting with organized delivery systems
Essential elements for effectiveness
ethical, legal, and professional issues in marriage and family therapy
Theory-based treatment tplanning for marriage and family therapists
Therapist's guide to substance abuse intervention
understanding program evaluation

LOL!! I had no idea. I have another six or seven books to submit *all fiction*, but I will not be doing that until Sunday night. There is no rush on these books...I was just commenting on the number of books I had pending. I understand that many are avoided as they are textbooks and subjects that most people do not enjoy. Like I said, there is no rush on these.

Warm hugs,

Maithe

Hi all,

Anyone can talk to any group and ask them to validate. We're always looking
for more validators. For example, I got a sighted friend of mine to
volunteer as a validator. I encourage everyone to get other people you know
to start validating. Definitely spread the word however you can.

As for me, I'm doing books as fast as I can. <smile>. I finish about a
book a day. I try to only work on books that have been on the step 1 page
for more than a month. Aside from that, I just sort of pick and choose.
Claire gave me a list of suggestions, but I don't have to stick to it.
Mave, Jim, Jamie, or anyone else who has a lot of books on step 1, let me
know the titles and I'll try to prioritize those books.

BTW, Bookshare appreciates all its volunteers, both scannors and validators.

Best,
Allison
