Tiff Once again, much thanks! I'm very impressed with K1000 on my first day working with it. Initially, I tried a newspaper front page from our local paper and it came up with something like a 19% confidence score -- and the scanned page was little more than at random garbage characters. When I tried that optimizing feature, lo and behold, it came up with something very readable. If it and the Epson 4180 can do that with newsprint, I can only imagine the possibilities with high quality print. Perhaps that learning curve will be shorter than I had initially anticipated. I've allowed myself November and December to learn K1000 with January being the target for my first submissions. Perhaps I can move that target up!!
