Thanks, Shelly, I had forgotten about that little gotcha. I do use Window Eyes
and got caught in that. You have to NOT install the Eloquence that comes with
K1000 if you have Window Eyes installed. It just won't work if you do install
it. I don't know why that happens, but you can use Eloquence with K1000 if you
do not install it when you install K1000. Strange but true. At least that's the
way it worked when I installed K1000 on my machine with Window Eyes back in
January of 2008. They may have fixed that by now, or they may not have.

Also do you use Window Eyes, there was something where if you installed
Window eyes you would loose Eliquence for Kurzweil.

What happens if you go into Settings, change the speech back to
Eloquence, then save your settings under Default? Then reload K1000 and see
which speech you get. Have you tried that?

Hi, all.
Something very strange has happened to my kurzweil. For some
reason, it's voice has defaulted to microsoft narrator, which is horrid, rather
than eloquence, which I prefer. I uninstalled, and re-installed, and still, the
problem persists. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? I'm running
version 11, on a windows XP machine.
