Hi, Sue!  I use my Braille display a lot, and I've found that if I keep Jaws 
and K1000 loaded at the same time, the Braille works pretty good.  But you 
know, I've never tried using it with Braille only.  Maybe Stephen can 
comment on this.  Perhaps true Braille support could be included in a future 
version?

  All this excitement over the new release of Kurzweil makes me want to buy 
it.  Can you just install it on your computer even if you don't have a 
scanner?  Also, is it Braille user friendly?

    I have Kurzweil 7.02 and I think that I am going to upgrade to Kurzweil
