Hi, all. I just submitted A LIGHT AMONG SHADOWS by Tamela Hancock Murray.
This is a replacement copy of one already in the collection which I tried to
read but there was a lot of missing and garbled text, especially in the
middle. I've read this one completely through and chapter headings should
already be protected, so it should be an easy validation. The only thing
that didn't scan well was the list of available titles at the end of the
book, but even that scanned well enough that I left it. The synopsis is
below:
ABIGAIL'S FUTURE LOOKS BLEAK. Although a member of Britain's aristocracy,
Abigail has led a sheltered life in her father's country manor house. But
the news that he has arranged for her to marry Lord Sutton, a titled man
known for his profligate behavior, changes everything. Desperate, Abigail
arranges to elope in the middle of the night with a neighbor she has dreamed
of since childhood. When the plan goes awry and Abigail becomes deathly ill,
she is rescued from peril by a kindly stranger-whom she soon learns is none
other than Lord Sutton. Tedric is nothing like the rake she has heard Lord
Sutton described as. Could the rumors be false? Or is she truly bound to a
man who values nothing about her except her family name? Surrounded by
shadows, where will Abigail find the true light she seeks?
