Hi Max,You may not have read the validation instructions even though I believe they've been pointed out within the last couple of weeks:
http://jbrownell.com/bks/validins.aspWhile this is not a perfect guide, they do provide some helpful information about how the process works. For instance they discuss the fact that the Browse button is silent for some screen readers.

With help from fellow listers and a final nudge from my friend Phil, who's not yet a Bookshare member, I believe the "New American Militarism", has been successfully validated and submitted. From this experience, may I just list a few key points every newby must and might not know: You can in fact go to the "Step 2" page right after logging in, without having to go into a special section for Volunteers; i.e., there's no need to go to the Volunteers' Home page to do this volunteer activity. To find the file that resides on your own machine, press the space bar on or otherwise click on the button with no name, after going to the page which says: e.g., Upload "Fund with Dick and Jane." The simplest way to find that file may be by going to "Recent Documents." The Windows dialog seems to remember where you've been up to a point. After selecting or highlighting the file to be uploaded, Open it! This can often be done with the Enter key. Before the file is opened, you cannot switch focus between the file list on your computer and the page containing the "Accept" button. It magically reappears and starts the upload oce you open the file from the internal or off-line file list. After waiting a bit for the upload, you get a rating of the book by the automated system, along with a chance to override that and a few other ratings. Once the initial upload is done, the process is a piece of cake. These are just a few of my thughts re uploading. Anyone is welcome to incorporate them into a more formal FAQ on the subject. -- "True Terror is waking up and finding your old high school class is running the country."--Kurt Vonegut.
